Roll With Respect (RWR) is a startup youth development organization. We value respect, and we promote demonstrated respect for self and for others.
mission
Our mission is to build safer and stronger communities through self-respect.
We pursue our mission to see empowered youth, equipped to fulfill their potential, and successfully navigate life’s challenges.
At RWR, we understand that safe and thriving communities are simply built upon interconnectedness and respect.
WHAT WE ROLL
We provide a framework for improving communities through education, mentorship, and support services for youth and young adults, ages 6 through 24.
Our programming focuses on creative expression and mental fitness, and includes interactive learning that stimulates creativity and critical thinking, promotes best efforts, and reinforces self-love and respect.
Mental fitness can be defined as having and maintaining a state of well-being and cultivating awareness of how we think, behave, and feel.
At RWR, we explore environmental influences and stressors, and the negative impacts they can have on youth well-being.
RWR aims to benefit youth and the wider community through a thought-provoking suite of activities, education, and resources to support the healthy development of emotional, mental, social, and spiritual health.
HOW WE ROLL
Our RWR Leadership Workshops include four learning modules. Workshops explore the following:
Creative Expression – Importance and benefits of creative expression, collaborative thinking, and social cohesion.
360 LOVE –Themes include consumerism, self-awareness, and mental health.
Fiscal Fitness – Financial literacy and responsibility to develop healthy relationships and habits with money.
Civic Engagement and Leadership – Explores social cohesion, civic engagement, and servant leadership.
WHY WE ROLL
RWR presents a Theory of Change…. For any community to successfully combat stressors resulting from the breakdowns in family, community, and social structures, a change of mindset is necessary.
Everyone has been subjected to experiences that can hinder the healthy development of self- respect and self-worth.
RWR affirms that community safety and vitality will manifest through our individual efforts of releasing self-limiting beliefs, thinking much of ourselves, and nurturing personal well-being.
